Check out this fundraising campaign on Indiegogo (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/support-carnivore-a-greek-splatter-film#share) for the short film “Carnivore” (working title). The campaign will begin on January 15 and will last 60 days ending on Saturday March 15. The procedure is simple: the viewer clicks on the amount he/she wants to contribute to the film’s production (beginning from 1E) and pays through paypal.
After having been awarded at the 3rd International Digital Film Festival of Athens, taking part in the 19th International Film Festival of Athens, and participating in various prestigious foreign film festivals, the director Dimitris Vavatsis is back with yet another film filled with blood for the fans of splatter films. The film is the director’s final thesis project at the Cinema Department of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. Guided by his love for splatter films, Dimitris Vavatsis is attempting to surprise and shock in order to satisfy splatter film fans. It is basically a revenge film made by a group of up-and-coming filmmakers that will be shot in and around Thessaloniki in March.
