Indie movies are becoming more and more intriguing, and “Holy Ghost People” trailer is one interesting to watch for, pushing hard on the “lunatic cults” pedal. Together with “The Sacrament”, I feel these both will indulge us visually and story-wise on the taste of journeys into the mad zealot societies.
If you liked “Winter’s Bone” and “Red State” – I guess you wouldn’t want to miss this one.
THE PLOT:
“Holy Ghost People” is a Southern Gothic thriller about a teenager searching for her lost sister in the Appalachian Mountains, where she encounters a snake-handling religious cult and eventually learns the truth about her sister’s fate.
