A FAMILY was pulled to safety after an enourmous sinkhole opened up beneath their car and swallowed them on a main road.
Dramatic footage shows the rescue as the car stands almost vertically in the pit.
A man and a woman climb through the driver’s door as passersby try to lift them out.
Edgar Orlanda Bartolo Silva, 34, Marisol Mercedes Gutierrez Siccha, 31, and their two year old daughter all escaped unharmed.
They were taken to hospital as a precaution.

Cranes were deployed later to haul out the vehicle from the five metre wide hole that appeared on Thursday in Trujillo, Peru.
Initial explanations suggest the sinkhole emerged due to heavy rain and flooding in the city.
